I just wanted to mention, as a newbie, how important certain resources have been. Today I achieved plied yarn! Super helpful resources:
www.joyofhandspinning.com and icanspin.com and their wonderful video files these forums and all the spinning/spindling Yahoo groups Hands On Spinning (book) by Lee Raven Spin-Off magazines basics articles Spinning Wool: Basics and Beyond video tape the internet, for buying fiber and a spinning friend!
Resources I want to use in the near future: Additional spinning videos/dvds local fleece producers Maryland Sheep and Wool!
You let us know when you think you're ready for that last one and we'll be there to enable away at the festival!

Rose, I can't WAIT for MDSW this year. That place is even better for spinners than it is for knitters. The local knitting guild is once again planning a bus trip down there.
