I am not sure this is the right thread to post this question, so please correct me. A friend of mine is working for a yarn company in Canada; they started participating in fiber shows there. They would like to go to fiber shows in the US, however they can't find a contact person to talk to. I have no idea how to look for such contact person. Any thoughts?
If you find the web site for the show, there is usually a link for vendors that has basic info on signing up to be a vendor. If you are interested in fiber shows where the sales floor primarily focuses on spinning fiber, then I would do a Google search for The Blacksheep gathering, The New York State Sheep and Wool Fest, and The Taos Wool Festival. If you are interested in shows where the sales floor focuses primarily on factory made yarn and knitting supplies, then as far as I know your best bet would be to focus on the Stitches Markets (The vendor info can be found at http://www.knittinguniverse.com/xrx/events/html/vendorinfo.php)- I am sure that there are other shows around the US but I don't really know of any with the exception of the TKGA shows, which are smaller. Info for those can be found here: http://www.knitandcrochetshow.com/forexhibitors.asp
