It seems as though there has been quite a good response to the question about Ebay experiences. I'd like to add a topic which addresses the ups and downs of using ebay as a buyer or seller.
Sounds good. Pros: sometimes you get a good deal. sometimes there's some very unique handpainted yarn up for auction. sometimes there's a good exchange rate with international sellers.
Cons: sometimes there's not enough yarn of the same type for auction to make much of anything. sometimes it takes a long time to get the yarn mailed to you. sometimes the color is not quite what your computer portrayed it to be.
Anybody else? I have my favorite sellers and they are usually very trustworthy.

I was bidding on some yarn right before I went to my mother's for Christmas. I saw the color on my screen and liked it. Then I saw it on my mother's screen and it looked completely different! When it came it didn't look that much like either one!
I realized that I have the brightness turned down some on my monitor since my eyes are light sensitive. It really changes the colors. So if I really ant a better idea of the color I turn it up for a while.
