I just watched Heavenly Creatures (directed by Peter Jackson, LOTR director) last week. Note: I don't want to recommend this film because it is a very disturbing film about a very disturbing subject. (Don't forget Peter Jackson used to direct bloody horror films before his debut as a "real" director). Many people here would not like the movie at all, there were very disturbing parts. That said, it was a very powerful movie; the acting was very good (one of Kate Winslet's first movies if not her first movie), the camera work was excellent. It is based on a true story about 2 emotionally disturbed young girls who end up doing something dreadful.
The reason I bring it up was there was a knitting scene in it, where the one friend is knitting the other friend a sweater.
