Well, I was under the mistaken impression that everyone (except Clara) had the same color of gold stars. Actually, Permanent Residents' stars are ever so slightly different from the rest of us, like this...

I did notice that once-- I thought it was nice. It really distinguishes the permanent residents, and makes them stick out so that you know they are people whose information you can generally trust... or they just really like to talk (
