Dear Queen Bee,
I hope that you did something special yesterday on Cashmere Appreciation Day (aka your birthday). I noticed that on my KR calendar yesterday but I took a plane to Seattle and did not remember to post until now, sorry...
Where should we send our offerings of cashmere and chocolate?

Thank you! I'm so touched that you remembered. It was a beautiful low-key day with essential things like a WHOLE mango with breakfast, a crisp caesar salad for lunch, angel-food cake with strawberries (the last batch frozen from last summer's garden)... Hmmm, what's wong with this picture? It's all food. NO CASHMERE!!
Speaking of which, happy belated Cashmere Appreciation Day to you all. This forum is warmth and intrigue and inspiration and companionship all rolled up into one very special place - and I'm eternally grateful to you all for trusting it as your home.

Happy Birthday and glad you had such a good day, with all that lovely food, I love Caeser salads, its my most favourite salad in the whole world.
Clara it is you that makes it feel like home, your the one who always steps in and stops things when they start getting out of hand and you did start KR.
Many, many thanks for that, my DH said the other day that I spend more time on KR forums than I do doing anything else. Even Knitting.

Happy birthday, Clara! If you're ever in Virginia, I'd love to make you a belated birthday cake (although a belated birthday bourbon bread pudding is a specialty of mine, if you're looking for something new) and I'm sure a number of us would be happy to take you on a LYS tour.
