After sending off 27 hats to the Dulaan Project about a week ago, i logged on to see what the AfghansForAfghans deadline was --

It's coming up soon -- July 21. Fortunately, I'd saved out 3 wool hats from the Dulaan Group to "seed" my Afghans hat group (the Afghans project wants wool, and other warm animal fibers, not acrylic, for hats). I raided my stash (no time to order anything new!) -- and have finished 5 more hats since yesterday ;-) I have enough wool for 4-5 more. They are going quickly -- i'm mostly making the rolled brim "Cloud Hat" that i learned about here in the Forums (a strand of wool and a strand of mohair) in kid sizes (54 stitches on #10.5 or 60 stitches on #10).

Anyone else knitting for Afghanistan at the last minute?
