Okay here is my plan. I love spinning beaded yarns and have been using cotton thread for adding the beads. I really want to find something I can dye along with my wool to get an exact match. I found a 100% Tencel yarn that would be great with the sheen that it has plus the drape and the price is right but will it work. I don't need a cone of it if it won't.
I know that acid would not be the best choice but mixing up 2 different kinds of dye and trying to match it would be too hard. Will the tencel dye at all with the acids maybe just not take the dye the same, maybe be a differnet shade of the same colors?
try a fiber reactive...... actually rit is one you may have to treat the tencel first and the colors would blend..... not exactly the same but close enough and interesting I think anyway
I like the look of beaded yarn......but the one time I made it oye it did however win a blue ribbon

none of this will matter in 100 years....... except I will finally be at my goal weight...vi http://notashyviolet.blogspot.com/ ~now with chickens!
