Does anyone have a source or a pattern for the bangle hats that were popular in the early 1960s? Either knit or crochet.

My googling hasn't come up with a free one, but there is a hat in Debbie Stoller's Stitch 'n B*tch that comes pretty close. You can flip through the projects here; the "Sparkle Hat" is on the left on the 4th page. If all else fails, make the purse and turn it upside down!

I might just do that!

Seriously, I'll see if I can use one of my existing hat patterns and the paillette attaching technique in your link. Thanks much!
