Just find a hat pattern you like and use the intarsia chart from the Stitch-n-bee-hotch books. That is how I did a baby hat with a skull.

I think I have to make the pirate one!
but my 10 year old will think it is too babyish for him.
I will try the chart and hat pattern.

Hi,

I don't know if your doing a scarf or a hat, but which ever in k1 about 2 issues ago there is a skull and crossbones pattern, its called the Jolly Roger, either use that or use the one in the first S'n'B Book.

They are both good.
