I have started two bags this week. The first is the Persian Carpet Bag from the book Folk Knits, That one uses 11 different colors in both intarsia and fair isle. Has anyone done that one? Today I started a second bag, for when I really don't want to deal with 11 different colors -- the free knitting tote pattern using Berroco Suede. The pattern is at http://www.berroco.com/exclusives/knitting_tote/knitting_tote.html I had been eyeing that for my sister-in-law for quite a while, and then realized the color I liked -- a rose color -- had been discontinued. I managed to find the necessary 5 balls. I really like the stitch used but find my hands tire when working with the Suede, which has no elasticity at all. Any experiences with either of these patterns?
