Hi everyone. I´me speaking to you from Portugal and I´m trying to buy a 2nd hand knitting machine from a really nice lady, but she doesn´t know if there are still spare parts for her Brother KR830 machine. Could somebody please help us? Thank you |

I'm afraid Brother machines ceased production many years ago, and most shops no longer have much at all in the way of spares. Some things are stilll available new - needles, brushes, tools, sponge bars, most typically. However, there is a huge second hand market in knitting machines and parts - just take a look on eBay, for example.
I have a number of Brothers, and I keep an older punchcard model - an 840 - just as spare parts for my more recent models. Brothers are good machines but you need to be prepared to look internationally for bits & pieces you might need.
