Does anyone know any internet sites where I can buy sock yarn. I am starting to make socks and when I read the patterns some of the recommendations are "Sprinrite Berella Coountry Garden D.K," I searched and was not able to find a site that is selling this yarn. The gauge is 7Sts = 1 inch. Does anyone have an recommended sites?

New Sock Knitter
Go to Woolworks.com, they sell everything and have a great turnaround time. I just bought some great yarn for socks (I like keep a sock in progress in my purse so I can knit while waiting in line) drives people nuts watching me knit with 4 dp needles.
These are all places with excellent, personalized service and quick shipping. I've never heard a bad word about any of them, and have ordered from them lots. Have fun!!! Carol
By the way, I think the Country Garden DK is a regular wool yarn that usually knits at a 5.5 sts to the inch gauge, but they are knitting at a tighter gauge to use for socks. You may find it listed as a Paton's yarn - try http://www.smileysyarn.com (i think that's the link but if it doesn't work, try googling smiley's yarn). Most socknitters I know find that yarn especially designed for socks lasts longer -- most sock yarns add nylon to the wool to make it more durable. Carol
