I can't believe it but I finished the Granny Square Afghan that I began in 1999. OMG that is a long time ago.
The squares were done and shoved in a bag all these years but I started a marathon and finished it. I will tell you that putting these things together is a lot of work and very time consuming although not difficult.
I had a fleeting thought of giving it away but I can't part with it so it will remain mine. I tried my best on the photos but I like the way it looks in person more than in the pix. Anyway, here's pictures Clicking on a picture will make it larger.

Now, I'm not a big fan of granny square...but I like that one, GFTC! I love the colors. Congrats on finishing it---and on doing such a lovely job.

Congrats on finishing your lovely afghan - you must be really pleased! I have made a few large Granny Square afghans myself,so I know only too well how time-consuming it is to put them together. The first Granny Square afghan I made had 120 squares,as it had to be large enough to fit on a queen-sized bed.It is now 10 years old and DH and I still use it on our bed,as we like to throw it on over our duvet on cold winter nights.

Beautiful. I'm happy you finished it, and now you can enjoy using it.

Beautiful work. I commend you on your patience to change color every row and then tuck in all the ends!!

You definitely deserve some sort of reward for finishing something that had lain unfinished for 7-8 year - Yay! Go buy more yarn?
