When did the Knitter's Forum become a site to see how quickly one can accumulate posts and gold stars. I started reading the forums for help and good advice. Now it seems as if anyone with nothing to do and a desire to go higher in the ranks answer questions whether or not they have something to contribute. If people are so excited to receive these gold stars, let them go back to school where gold stars are awarded for excellence not for posting smiley faces.

Ouch Lloyd! What's that about????? I don't think this is hurting anyone! If I don't like a topic, I just pass on by...I try not to make others feel wrong in enjoying something I don't agree with...we TRY not to do this on this forum!!!

 Well, most of the topics here are constructive & informative, but once in a while you get a wild card, like this one, where it seems all bets are off (or on). They don't seem to be very frequent, but you can fit in off-topic comments that don't seem to go anywhere else.
I do agree with Lloyd though that posting just to get stars or up your posting total seems a bit pointless.
That said, I am proud of my 1 warming up star.
