In the sock forum there is an acrylic yarn from Michael's mentioned that has only 164 yards and is called Moda Dea Sassy Stripes Yarn. Two of us are curious about it being enough for a sock. It comes in 50gr skeins. Any suggestions besides knitting a whole sock to find out? Guestimation is very low in my sock skills, since I am a newbie sock knitter. TIA
It depends on the gauge too. 164 in worsted isn't really short. 164 in fingering weight would probably yield one anklet sock. For either one you wold need 2 balls but if its a good price and you really like it there is no reason you can't use 3.
Thanks Boogie. I think if it's nice and soft a good bed sock would be nice out of it. My feet get so cold I'm always wearing socks to bed in the winter.
