I have six balls, or approximately 720 yards, of this. It's a discontinued colour I found in a sale, so I can't get any more. What on earth can I make with 720 yards? It's not enough for a sweater, is it? Or at least, not a sweater with sleeves.
Thank you for any advice. |

I made a Leaf Lace shawl with Rowan's discontinued Rowanspun 4-ply, which is a similar tweedy yarn. I like the juxtoposition of the lacy shawl with the tweedy yarn.
You could also make a vest, or you could add other colors from the line and make a fair isle sweater.

| Thank you, Rachel. I don't think I can buy any more yarn just at present (dang that budget) so a nice fairisle sweater is alas not an option. And I'm making a vest in another yarn already. And I have three different shawls on three different sets of needles. On the other hand, can one have too many vests and shawls? Or can anyone think of something else? I know I can't. Perhaps I'll just stash the yarn until I can afford to go and get some more... |
