Has anyone used this yarn? I bought some on sale because the price was quite reasonable for 100% wool. And WOW...I was so pleased. The yarn is from Chile, I think the term is kettle dyed...the colors (and the shading of the color were outstanding. I bought enough for a womans cardigan in a deep raspberry red and my swatch knitted up nicely. Has this yarn been reviewed here? Does any one have any comments? The labelsays worsted, but I feel its a very light worsted. I can't wait to find the right pattern !

I've seen it but haven't used it. I am, however, attracted to what you describe as "deep raspberry red." What color number is it?
I'll have to look into this. Like I need more yarn.

That does sound beautiful. I just got some of this in "light apricot," which is really more of a golden/mustardy yellow, with very pretty gradations in color throughout. The one negative I've heard about this yarn is that the hanks are squirrely and very difficult to wind into balls. In fact, it may be easier NOT to use a swift, should you be so lucky as to own one in the first place.
Happy knitting, Helen |

I love this yarn! I used it with 2 other yarns in an entrelac scarf last year, and then made a teddy bear sweater with the leftover.
I'm using a red to make a felted purse. My old LYS used it for felting, and the samples there were gorgeous.
I agree that it's a light worsted.

I have used it for making felted clogs. It's OK....Lambs Pride is my favorite with Cascade 220 following close behind.

I just saw it recently at Acorn. It came in lots of color and felt great. Nice to hear what you had to say about it.

I just used it to knit a panta (headband type thing). I LOVE the colors and it's so soft!!! I don't have the label right here, but it was blues with some browns and greens. Gorgeous!

I used it for a small felted bag & agree w/ Cathy---it's OK. Nothing special! I much prefer Patons Classic Merino, Noro Kureyon or Little Knits Merino style for felting. (still am a Cascade220 virgin!)
