Well, after registering several times, forgetting passwords and usernames, I am back. I mostly lurked due to my short memory and infrequent visits.
I have been knitting for about 11 years, and became completely addicted a couple of summers ago when my quilting supplies were stored due to an electrical rewiring (read turning to swiss cheese) of our house. I needed something to keep my hands busy while we sat by the one working air conditioner. Knitting seemed like a good idea at the time. It has just about taken over my life and I could not be happier about it. Hello and I can't wait to get to know you all.
I live in Brooklyn with my husband and three kids and three cats but we are going to be moving to New Paltz soon. More room for the stash! |

Hi Knittermom! Moving is the pits, but more stash room seems to be a good reward for the hassle. See you around the forum!

Welcome back! I did that, too, don't feel bad! I kept forgetting "who I was" when I signed up and finally gave up and did it all over again! How old are your children? Have you taught any of them to knit yet? What are you currently knitting! See you around!

My kids are 10, 6 1/2, and 2. the 10 year old knits well, the 6 year old insists he can but doesn't want to (I've never seen needles in his hands ) and the 2 year old just likes to spin my ball winder in both directions! At the moment I am working on Clapotis and a "Suede" shawl. Socks and a tank top for the 10 year old. |

Hi, knittermom,
Welcome to the forum and to Ulster County! I am about 45 minutes from New Paltz. We have quite a few yarn shops and lots of knitters. We are former Brooklynites and our two boys live there. Lots of New Yorkers around here! I look forward to hearing more about your knitting and moving plans, Warmly, Chayah [meow] |

Welcome home! Had the same problem, signed up, then did nothing. Then about 18 mo. ago tried to sign up and Clara wrote telling me that user name and password had been used. I couldn't believe it! Turned out it was under my old e-mail address, so everything turned out OK. I'm still Dicksie @ ******.
