I was just checking to see if there are any tantalizing glimpses of fall 2006 out there. I've seen the IK preview, but that's it. I've been trying to find Rowan previews and new yarn/pattern news online, but so far, no luck.

I'm a little nervous about this myself. See this story: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13849156
The 70's are coming back. I'm afraid, very afraid.
pieheart, who really hated those fashions the first time around

When does oversized come back? That's what I'm waiting for. Body conscious fashion is not for this body, lol.

| I know this isn't going to help you....but I saw the leaflets for the patterns in the fall 2006 lines for the Rowan & RYC mags....they are gorgeous! Classic designs again! I started jumpign up and down when I saw them at my LYS. |

| Oh yeah and I forgot to say that nothing looked 70's inspired. Modern and classic are good words to describe the new patterns. |

I saw that episode of the Today Show and I'm very confused. 70's inspired fashions have been around for the 8 years and more. I don't know why they are making such a big deal about it. It seems a little behind the times. Not that I am any fashion expert, but I can see the styles in the store, what the actors are wearing, see the fashion mags, etc. The 70s redux came back awhile ago and in reality should be on it's way out. I don't get it.

Argoknit,
They have to have something to hype. It's marketing.

For those of us who wore those 70's "groovy" "far out" hipster flares and peasant blouses... I have to remember that if you look like the original owner you are too old to wear it.
Just in case I get tempted to dust off something from the deep archives of my "from the past closet".
Happy Knitting,
