JK, your ASA socks are fabulous - all of them! I wimped out on mine and only knit the entrelac for the cuff - here's a pic: ASA socks
Although I'm pleased with my ASA socks, one day I'll make a pair that is totally entrelac as you have done. I agree with you that not all yarns work for this pattern. I started with Lorna's Liberty#1776 and it looked awful so I switched to Lorna's Sandridge#112 with much better results. I used Liberty in a ribbed sock with much better results.
