Looking for a patterns to knit placemats and table runners....are there any out there?

Sometimes you will find them on the inside of the Xmas yarn label or go ck out the LIon Brand free pattern site.

Funny you should mention placemats, etc., I was just looking at some on Knitting Pattern Central site today. They have many choices, some more appropriate for Xmas than others, but you can always do them in Holiday colours. Here are the links (they have them in more than one category and they are not necessarily the same patterns):

I believe things like placemat patterns are all over the internet, (a lot of felted patterns too).
