Have any of you seen those 'crockpot liners' advertised so you don't have to clean your slow cooker?
If I used one of those to dye in (inside either a slow cooker or a casserole for microwaving) do you think it would be safe to still use the dish for food? What if I used koolaid dye? Or should I just wait until after the wedding registry replaces all my cookware anyway?
Trying to get into this with baby steps and minimal comitment.
I don't know--I only have so much faith in gadgets like those when I'm dealing with toxins. Kool-aid would be safe enough, but that's as risky as I would go.
Have you thought of looking for a second crock pot at a thrift store? They're generally really cheap used.
You wouldn't need a whole second crock pot, just a second crock and lid.
I trust the liners for Kool-aid, but I also use them for regular cooking, and they can and do leak a bit, so I would never use them for truly toxic dyes.
