are great for needle felters! Also good for knitted embellishments....flowers, leaves, etc.

And in the Spring, the birds love to incorporate soft, fluffy pieces of yarn into their nests! And what a treat it is to look around the neighborhood and see colorful bits of yarn in the trees! sab

You know, for the last two years I've tried leaving out scraps of yarn for the birds (we have feeders and are avid birdwatchers)--and they just don't seem interested. Maybe one needs certain kinds of birds?

Years ago I made knitted bird Christmas tree ornaments. I wish I could still find the pattern. There were no wings, just a section knitted in several colors that contrasted with the main color. They looked like birds though and were pretty on the tree. I keep hoping to find the pattern again.

Oooh! Oooh! I would LOVE to see patterns for birds! I know several bird-crazy people for whom I'd love to knit. Does anyone kmow of any patterns or pattern sources like this? Thanks for bringing this up, rgrill!

Do you like cutesy birds as Joyce Greenhow designs cutesy type birds .
I have a pattern book here that I no longer want if anyone wants it .
