Was the Kool Aid a passing fad, is it now passe -- or is there some other reason that this forum has been dormant for so long?

I've not read anything about KA dyes since long long long before people started using the MICROWAVE as the heat process.

Sounds fascinating, but apparently KA isn't so popular anymore???

OR is there some problem with KA dyes that wasn't apparent years ago?

Also, anyone have any suggestions for the best current tutorials about using KA for dyeing?

I think KnitPicks may still have a tutorial. My reasons for moving over to other acid dyes is the colorfast nature of KA dyeing isn't as good as I would like and while the color range is whimsical, I tend to like a more sophisticated color pallette. But it is fun, certainly economical and safe as a means for dyeing.
