Nice to see two patts I could make for Darling Bebe - the Garden Plot Dress (in a more attractive colorway) and Ruched Yoke Tee. I also really like the En Pointe Pullover - the construction is lovely and it's a nice use of laceweight.
Some of the garments look good in photos but are, in reality, hard to wear for the average bear.

I saw lots of things I like on the model but, as the Owl says, would be hard to wear for someone such as myself. The Rose Lace Stole is very pretty, and I am intrigued by the Hourglass Pillows. I really enjoyed the Shirley Paden article, too.

I liked the Rose Lace Shawl and the Tatiana Pullover sweater. Might have to buy the mag. I have some yarn for a rose lace shaw, but have not really found a shawl I like for it.

I like the Tatiana pullover but I would do it in a cotton blend to make it more wearable longer.

I have to say this issue left me cold. I find some of the photography unflattering and I hate it when the stylists but shirts under garments that shouldn't have shirts on under them!

I too am uninspired by this issue, in large part due to the styling I think. Perhaps after I see some versions knit and worn, it will look better to me. I'll wait and see. Case in point - I recently finished Trellis & Vine Pullover from IK Fall 2009. I was unimpressed by the magazine pictures, but changed my mind when I saw some finished sweaters, and am very happy with my end result.

I finally received my copy today. I was hoping that I would like it better than I had the preview. Sadly, I didn't. I totally agree - what were the stylists thinking? Most of the accompanying clothes did absolutely nothing to improve or even set off the garments! I do hope that this issue is a small hiccup and that Interweave will resume their better standard next time.
