If you've followed our woolalongs for any period of time, you've already heard about Solitude Wool. It's a fantastic place to find breed-specific artisan yarns sourced from small farms in Virginia's Chesapeake Bay watershed. And now, as of today (drum roll of temptation doom please), they have online ordering. In honor of this momentous occasion, I thought I'd give them a closer look. Enjoy!

Thanks for the review pointing me in this direction. Like a good microbrewery, a good small yarn company is a treasure! I just ordered two large hanks of undyed Suffolk/Dorset for warm squooshy socks. I am on a sock binge. Seriously thinking of garment-dyeing them when they are finished.

That's all it took. If you make it convenient, I'm helpless. It seems I always look for new yarn late in the evening when I'm too tired to knit. I've been longing to try this yarn.

Thank You Knitter's Review (Clara)! Thank you Review readers!
My computer was turned off because we were having thunderstorms (again!) and Sue called me..."have you seen Knitter's Review?" and would only say "you're going to die (meaning dye I'm sure)!"
Wow. We are so delighted and honored! We've mailed off yarn and spinning fiber in all breeds but one (Corriedale, better get that three ply in the pipeline) all over the country (nothing to Tuvalu yet...). Hope you all love the yarn! If you don't, or don't need as many skeins as you purchased, we will always buy back unopened skeins.
Hope some of you can come by and meet us at Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival next weekend!
THANK YOU!!! Gretchen
