| Your shawl is beautiful! I really like the color. I'm trying to reduce my stash so I'm knitting whatever project seems like I have enough yarn for - tried a lot of bootie patterns, but I read that moms now tend not to use booties! |

Hi temari, thanks! Not use booties on babies, even during winter time? I need to reduce my stash too. I think I'm going to make bazaar type items to contribute to our Church's rummage sale which helps the Church kids go to summer camp.
Happy Knitting/Crocheting!

That's a great way to use your stash! I think all kids need to do something during the summer. I was going to give the booties to a rescue mission, but my DS said that he doubts they would have infants there. Good luck with the rummage sale!
I must confess that I didn't use knit/crochet booties on my kids very often ~ they are in their 20s now. I don't know what the moms now do in the winter. When my kids were babies, they would have elasticized socks and shoes on under their winter snow suits. |

I received an email from an online yarn store that features a kit using Noro sock yarn and a crocheted, open weave, shawl.
I'm not advocating any yarn store here, or advertising. I'm just passing along a cute pattern that could be used for a light summer shawl.
The last time I used Noro yarn, was a crocheted scarf in Kureyon, and it was scratchy. The Noro skeins also had more knots than I thought acceptable for such a small skein.
But I think I will try the kit, and hope the sock yarn is a little softer. It's said to have very little wool. Well, I'll post the site here, and you can judge.
I think this could be a cute accessory. I do like the color changes without having to stop and start the yarns and weave in ends. Hopefully there won't be as many knots as my last experience.
