I finished my first baby booties, yayy! a small step but hopefully it will encourage me to try making an adult pair of socks. Just the thought of knitting a pair, makes me feel so intimidated lol!!!

Congrats on your baby booties! I never knit a pair!! Just jumped straight to socks! I think you will enjoy knitting socks!

Hey, zknit, congratulations! If you can knit baby booties, you can knit socks, no problem. Personally, I think there's this mystique around socks that makes them seem harder than they really are. I mean, they can get hard, but they don't have to be. A basic sock pattern is actually a easier than one might think, although guidance may be helpful. I took a basic sock class, and refer to Clara's tutorial on KR from time to time, too (especially for kitchener stitch). Good luck and have fun.
