A friend of mine would like to buy her textile-crazy sister a gift certificate for some knitting goods. Anybody know a store near Madison, WI (Verona, actually) where my friend could this gift for her twin?
Online stores with great selections are also interesting to my friend. I initially suggested WEBS, and she checked it out, but there were some not-great reviews regarding their gift-certificate system, so she wants to try a different source. Thanks!

There is a marvelous yarn shop in Verona, The Sow's Ear. In Madison itself there is Lakeside Fibers, which I like but some people find off-putting. There is a new KR member from Madison; maybe she will chime in with current info about local shops.

ETA: Oh my gosh, I just went to the Sow's Ear website to make sure they were still around, and not only are they still around, but check this out:

Wow, Flicka, thanks! Exactly what I needed! What a funny coincidence that Clara will be teaching there.
Clara, hmmm, sure hope you have some woolens to keep you warm!
