I'd like opinions on the following machines and prices. I'd like to make baby blankets and "simple gifts" that would normally take me a month to do in a day! What do my fellow knitters think? All opinions welcome.

Singer LK100 Light Knitter Knitting Machine $199
Brother KH-710 Knitting Machine for $120

The machines you listed are different gauge machines. The LK100 is a chunky knitter which knits worsted weight and light chunky yarns. The Brother KH710 is a standard gauge machine which knits fingering or baby weight yarn. The KH710 is an older machine and Brother is not longer making knitting machines. Hope this helps

I figure you are looking at used machines, because of the prices you listed. Yahoo has a group that can give you information.

I always wanted my own library but I didn't realize it would be all knitting books!
