We just got back from a trip to Tassie (Tasmania) to see the grandchildren. I actually did some knitting on the plane. I was warned not to take metal needles so I left the metal ones (circulars) in my checked bag and bought some very cheap plastic ones for on the plane. No probelm at all. They did not even blink at my knitting.

I knit a hug into every stitch

Good to know, I am planning several plane trips this year. I also put the good needles in the checked bag but never know what kind to take on board.

I had no trouble w/wooden dp needles on a recent flight w/Southwest. Course I could have always said that they were 'designer' chop sticks too.
