For whatever reason, my DH is able to use the singer 155 Chunky knitting machine, but when I try it, either the carriage gets stuck, or if I am casting on, which is often, I get loops at one of the ends, usually the left end, as well as a long loop that is about 10 needles long. What am I doing wrong? The tension, etc is the same for my DH as it is for me, as it is the same machine. Today I also missed some stitches, and also had the yarn on the pegs as well.
I have already gone for private lessons, but I am more of a perfectionist, than the lady who taught me, as she had no concern with all the mistakes in the blanket I made, so I won't be going back for more lessons.
Please help me out.
