Good morning ladies:
I have been attempting to convince my wife (Alyce) to go to the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre, Toronto, Ontario, Canada Downtown Knit Collective Knitter's Frolic. If any of you could convince her to go, I think she would have a wonderful time meeting you all. My attempts to persuade until now don't hold the promise of success. As when I first found this site, any assistance would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Well I am in New York so I won't be going but I will say that I have gone to many knitting events by myself. You are never alone at a knitting event.
Knitters are a special group in that we seem to embrace anyone who shares our love for knitting and all the yarny goodness that goes with it.
If Alyce goes to the Knitter's Frolic, she will have a great time.

I'm way on the other coast, but I encourage Alyce to go. I'm very, very shy and walking into a roomful of people who all seem to know each other is so intimidating! But I think she'll find many knitters are very welcoming and eager to invite a new person into their midst.

I would love to attend a knitting event like that!! Especially with my husband suggesting it. I find that you are never alone amongst knitters, there are innumerable ways to start a conversation!! I think she would have a wonderful time! judy |

| Hi I'm from Chicago, Every year I go to the Midwest knitting event alone. I think knitters will always talk to other knitters. I always enjoy myself and so will you. Donna |
