Whose yarn stores and knitting folks took excellent care of me during my short stay. I was able to drop a little cash at each store, found local hand-dyed roving at Loop, local handspun at Nangellini's, and Hiya Hiya needles, which I have never seen on the West Coast, at Rosie's.
I was directed by KR's Purlewe to the Wednesday eve knitting night at Rosie's Yarn Cellar, where I laughed my head off for two hours and enjoyed the company of some really friendly, like-minded knitters.
Philly rocks. And the oysters aren't bad, either.

i was a starving miserable graduate student in W. Philly during some really dark years (MOVE bombing, garbage strike), so developed a deep hatred of everything Philly. I recently went back and had an absolutely lovely time - great restaurants, wonderful yarn (and other) shops, and terrific neighborhoods.

And we had a great time showing RobinStephanie our town! I always say the more the merrier! And she was definitely merry!

How do.
RobinStephanie, I am so glad our beloved Purlewe hooked you up with some of the cool knitting places in Philly. We are quite lucky to have such fine stores. And lucky to have Purlewe here too!
Come back & see us again. Martha
