Hi! I'm from NC. Mom taught me to knit when I was a kid and I've been knitting off and on ever since. The last surge came when I was looking for some warm socks that would fit inside regular shoes (not hiking boots). Of course, that was not an easy thing to do here in the south, so I decided to make my own. Usually have some sort of project going, sometimes more than one at a time.

I hope to learn some new things reading through the forums.

Hi Randy, welcome to KR from Northern California. A lot of sock knitters here. I've only made two pairs (well, one "pair" was actually three socks, because the first sock was soooooo big) but both were for my boyfriend and I've been hankerin' for a pair of my own since them. Handmade socks are a treat, i hear!

Welcome Randy, Friendly helpful people here. I've learned lots that I apply to other areas of my life as well as knitting-like Fran's 10 minute rule.

Hi RandyNC. Welcome to the forum from Down Under in Australia. I hope you enjoy the forum. It seems to me that everyone has several projects going at once. My sister in law scolded my daughter when she heard that she (my daughter) did not necessarily finish one project before starting another. My daughter just laughed.
