Greetings, knitters! One of my first projects was an afghan- I had to go big! My stitches were so tight that I almost quit knitting! ha ha Sure glad I didn't!

One of my first projects was a baby afghan that I was changing colors and I never did finish it. Then I made a scarf for a doll that fit my friend's daughter instead. I had the loose stiches problem.

I've been sitting here for 10 minutes trying to remember what my very first FO even was. It must have been an afghan for my mother but other than the vague notion that it was, I have no recollection of it at all. And Craft1mjw, I'm so glad you didn't quit knitting.

Good to hear it, craftymjw! I'm just coming out of a slump-one that lasted, unfortunately, for the whole cool season. But I'm glad to be knitting again!

Hi Knitter Friends great to hear of your projects. Do you ever put a picture on forum it would be nice to see them. Im knitting a shaped cardigan at the moment just finishing 2nd side and then to do sleeves, its gray, looking a bit dull sorry I didn't pick a brighter colour. I'll try and put a photo up when its finished
