Hi to all from the beautiful Hudson Valley! I am married 28 yrs and have 3 grown children. I a now retired on disability from nursing and have decided to teach myself to knit. Soooo I have been knitting about 8 months now! I have made thus far a Feather and Fan afghan and have done a purse of which I felted. Along with those have been a couple of scarves. I am working on a sweater now from the "Pure and Simple" patterns now and may need some help soon!
Nice to "meet" you all!

Hi, MaryLou12, I am a longtime member just returning after some time away, and I live in Ulster County. Maybe we are neighbors! There are many knitters in this area. I'd be happy to hear from you, and about your projects. Welcome, Chayah

Welcome to the KR Forums. You are from a beautiful area. I spent many summers in Newburgh. I think you will really like it here. It's a 24/7 knitting group. Good luck on your sweater!

Hi Mary Lou, and welcome to the KR Forums! I love the Hudson Valley......my Dutch ancestors moved up the Hudson after being chased from New Amsterdam by the British, who renamed it New York!
I'm glad you did a Feather and Fan design--it is one of the prettiest stitch patterns, I think.

Keep us posted on your sweater!

Best wishes,

Anna

Wow, Marylou, you are a very accomplished "beginning" knitter, very ambitious. Welcome!
