I love to knit socks specially with the KOIGU yarn.
To reinforced heel and toes do you have suggestions ? coton, nylon ?
Other question: For does who knit with Koigu , what size of needles do you take ?
Thank you for taking time to respond.

Michelle, there is a topic under this forum on "heels that last" ... you'll probably get some good ideas there. I have Koigu yarn in my stash for socks, but have not used it yet. I will probably reinforce the heels and toes with the sock reinforcement thread that I always keep on hand in several colors; I have two brands, one is Lang (comes on a spool) and the other is Fortissima Socka (comes on a card). I think both are the 75% wool/25% nylon combo.
Donna, with intentions always bigger than her available time. (OkieDokieKnitter on Ravelry) |

I was just at my favorite lys today and they had Lang Reinforcement yarn on spools. As ikkivan said, Fortissima makes some which I have used before and works well. I was, however, amazed at the assortment of colors available in the Lang. I had some nylon reinforcement thread once, dont remember the brand that was absolutely terrible to work with, so I dont reccommend that. judy |
