OK, so the calendar isn't a forum, but I just took a look at the 2013 calendar to see what's what. A very long list of venues all over!!!
I live in Denver. We have LOTS of wonderful LYSs here (probably more than anyone else can imagine), but when it comes to events, I feel like this is the middle of nowhere.
I thought "if only there was a way to view events by state." Probably not something Clara necessarily wants to think about( ), but seeing what's going on in CO, NM, WY, UT or KS would mean seeing what's within driving distance. Most events seems to be east and west, translating into airfare.
Now, what to do about those few international events.....!!
Anyway, something to think about.

I'm always happy when Clara posts the new calendar! I love to browse through the months, dreaming about which events I'd like to attend in the spring or fall. It just wouldn't be the same if it were sorted by state.

I do the same thing, Jane. I look at the calendar and dream several times a year and sometimes get lured into reading about interesting or odd-sounding festivals or events in exciting locations.

Whoops, let me "Clarafy"! I'm all for the calendar being the way it is now. I am suggesting an >additional< feature that allows a sorting by state.

Thanks so much for the feedback! Would this be in addition to being able to search for your state's abbreviation from within the existing calendar like people can now? (Using your browser's "find" function.) Or is that too tedious?

I was thinking of a map so you can click on the state you want to see. Does that help? (More importantly, is that easy to do?)
