As long as it is cold somewhere, there will be a need for fingerless gloves! I live in WI, my home thermostat is set at 66F and the one at work appears to be broken. I need my fingers to knit and to type, so fingerless gloves are the ONLY answer (unless I set my wastebasket on fire and put it under my desk!). My wrists and hands stay warm (up to the first knuckles) which tends to keep me warmer all over.
