Is there someplace on the Internet where I can drop my head shot in and "try some on"? I think I found one that might work, but it sure would be a lot less painfully to check it out virtually.

You folks always come through, so I'm really hoping! Thanks!

I went to a salon today and they told me about this:

I'll have to take a photo first, but at least there IS something. Maybe this will help someone else out there.

If anyone wants to see the hairdo I'm thinking about (because the music is really, REALLY good), go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_mbRkRqFH0&list=PL80F6B127163393C2. The woman wearing it plays the fiddle and doesn't show up until 50 seconds into the video.

I love the music.

The hairstyle is similar to what I am wearing, but my sides are not as long. Maybe 2 inches shorter. Bangs also a little shorter, but cut at an angle so shorter on one side than the other and swept to the longer side. This is the easiest haircut to care for that I have had in a long time. Really a wash and go style, but a bit of gel gives it a different look if I want to fuss a bit.

See if your stylist thinks its good for your hair type and face - my guy is very good at this kind of advice and has steered me away from cuts that aren't suitable. They can often improvise something near the cut you like, but better for hair and face type. Good luck with it.

I know it's not the point, but what a great video! That is some fiddlin'! I love how the musicians' smiles keep getting bigger and bigger as the tempo gets faster and faster, and how the girl's feet are dancing while she's playing. And such a happy tune.

Honestly, it choked me up a little bit. I went to Ireland for six weeks in the 90's, and I stayed for six months and didn't ever want to come home. Some of the best memories of my life were found in Ireland and in Irish pubs, seeking out music, or just happening upon it and lucking out. I love this style of music. Someday I'm going back, and getting some more. Thank you for sharing this.

And the hairstyle is adorable!
