I wanted to clean out the stash, and I wanted some lightweight summer cowls, so I came up with two patterns.

The first one is called the "Three Hour Summer Cowl" and uses knits, purls and dropped stitches. And really, it takes three hours. Here is the link:

The second one is called the "TrouBLe Cowl" because it uses dropped stitches and all stitches are knit through the back loop (ha HA!). This is also a pretty quick knit--I bet you could finish it in under three hours as well.

Both look cute with a white tshirt--it is a quick and easy way to dress up a casual summer outfit.

Enjoy!

Thanks, Kim! I'll be interested to try the TrouBLe Cowl with some ribbon yarn in my stash. Three hours is not much time investment for a cowl!

I just did a third one--the Slanty Rainbow Cowl. Use up your extra sock yarn!

That's really cute, Kim. It would be fun to dig out all the old leftovers and sort through them to choose colors. I'm really into colors right now.
