Last year I bought five skeins of Madelinetosh Tosh Chunky for a cardigan vest and legwarmers. Over the weekend, I became nervous that this was not enough yarn for just the vest!

This is being knitted in one piece, and so the back is done, and just now I finished both fronts to the point of shaping the neckline which won't take much yarn. I'm looking at what's left from skein #4, and it looks like there is plenty of yarn to use up before I break into the last skein.

I would still like legwarmers, which means buying some more yarn. That's okay; I really didn't want to go hunting for a sixth skein, and I don't mind if the legwarmers wind up in a different "dye lot" (MT doesn't have dye lots!).

Whew!

Whew! And do you find yourself knitting faster when you think you'll run out of yarn? I do!

I always knit faster when I'm afraid I'm going to run out of yarn --- glad others do too. I have no idea why I do that. Funny.

Yep, I knit faster, too.

All that's left is the buttonhole band (I don't have buttons yet) and the collar. I wonder if I will have to take the swatch apart?

I thought I was the only one that did that. I am glad to know that I don't panic alone :)
