I purchased a large lot of Manos de Uruguay from my lys. I loved the color and feel of it. While I have my own swift and winder at home for some reason I accepted the offer for the shop to wind it for me. I am so glad I did! There were so many knots and broken ends that the store offered to refund me, and instead gave me a significant discount. I can not begin to tell you how much splicing I had to do for those 12 balls of yarn! I can't say I will NEVER buy their yarn again, but I am now very hesitant.

My name is Michelle, and I'm a yarnaholic.

How do.

Wow, what a bummer. I have knit with some Manos & have not had that challenge. Could this have been an anomaly?

I really hope so. Unfortunately, it was the first time I had purchased/ worked with it, and it was a bad first impression.

Hey Michelle--

Same thing happened to me. Sometimes the yarn wasn't even in knits, it was in pieces.

And I'm cracking up at your signature. (:
