Has anyone ever made a list of the abbreviations used on the forums? Its funny to see these initials not in "context". Sometimes I sit here and just scratch my head wondering..[:00] I'm pretty good a decifering MOST of them, but perhaps I'm interpreting them incorrectly.. WIP - work in progress UFO - unfinished objects MIL - mother in law FIL - father in law FROG - the dreaded frog.. we'll pray we don't have to go there[:((] LOL - lots of laughs.. or is it something else? LYS - local yarn shop
others that I forgot?? or ones I got wrong? So, for those who've been around the forums longer than I, please add/correct/enhance..

Just a question, but why is INO = in my opinion? shouldn't it by rights be IMO, and IMHO or is there a reason My is abbreviated to N?

I used to follow patterns, but now i just make it up as I go, sometimes life is to short to read instructions, other times I wish I had. |

That is good to know - I saw HTH recently at the end of a post and just thought it was the person's initials.

Most of these are used in text-messaging. And there's a great site for deciphering TM, called NetLingo.
