How come the time on the messages I post indicate a time 3 hours earlier than it actually is in my area? Was I supposed to fill out something when I registered to indicate my time zone? Or is everyone on the west coast time zone?

Everyone is on the same time zone. You can't change it.

Ah yes! Fond memories. I tried implementing a fix that would allow each person to see posts marked with the time from his/her time zone. But it broke the entire forums.

So I made the executive decision that it really wasn't a mission-critical feature to know if someone posted at 10:37AM Chicago time or Miami time... and left it alone.

But it's on the list for if/when we migrate to a new forum system!
