My mom has had 2 masectomy's in 8 months, so I knit away the pain and anger and frustration.Its very hard to watch someone you love get hit with so much stuff all at once.I am calmer just knowing the knitting bag is always with me........Amy

Amy,
So sorry to hear your news. Thanks for sharing your story. I am organizing a team to walk in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure (Breast Cancer) Walk here in my community on June 3. You and your mom will be in my thoughts.
I too am glad that knitting is bringing some comfort and sanity to you at this very difficult time.

Hi Amy,
I too am very sorry for what you and your Mum are going through.
On Friday night I found out that an old friend who I had lost touch with has just lost a breast to breast cancer, she has already suffered the indignity of going through cancer of the uterus.
So if your knitting helps I'm really glad. I too am going to knit some pink scarves and such like for Breast Cancer and I told the kids to buy me a mothers day card from Hallmark as a percentage of the money goes to Breast Cancer Research.
Hope everything works out well for you both.
