what is the general opinion about the zig-zag bind off when knitting socks? Is there a better way to bind off? Or does someone have a good resource for learning the zig-zag bind off? Assuming we are not toe-uping the sock--heel down in other-words.

I saw a good description of zig zag bind off in PGR's Simple Socks. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0966828941/qid=1150388880/sr=2-2/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_2/002-3122142-2857644?s=books&v=glance&n=283155
I can't give an opinion because I haven't tried it yet.
