One of the instructors at my shop is going to offer some dye classes this summer and I'm looking for resources for undyed yarn. I already know I can use Brown Sheep for wool. I've heard of Henry's Attic but have been unsuccessful in finding contact info for them. Does anyone have suggestions for resources? Thanks!

I believe Henry's Attic is a brand name. You might try here to find some:

Henry's Attic Yarns are wholesale distributors. You have to open a wholesale account with them in order to buy direct. The above links are for retailers who carry their yarns undyed to the public.

I have a wholesale account with them but don't have my store set up right now to sell undyed yarns. I only sell hand dyed yarns.

SouthWest Trading Company has some undyed yarns as well as Crystla Palace. Crystal Palace a number of yarns in a variety of fibers. Some of the easiest to dye are the wool Labrador, Iceland and Fjord. You probably already have an account with them.

Ashland Bay out of Washington state has lovely undyed wool yarns as well as a wonderful selection of rovings. They are a wholesale dealer, but might be worth looking into, especially if you are going to carry undyed yarns on a more permanent basis.

Hi!

Does anyone know what the minimum order for Henry's Attic is? The mimimum first order for Louet is $850 and I hoped Hentry's Attic would be the same.

Regards, Briana

It is $500 for an opening order and $100 for re-orders.

Kraemer's minimum is $500. haven't tried their undyed yarns yet but am pleased with the quality of the dyed yarns I've ordered. and their response time is great, esp compared with some of the other suppliers.

Keep knitting, this too shall pass.

I just called Henry's Attic and they said they are not accepting any new wholesale orders, unless you have been in business *a long time* (which was stressed) and had a storefront. Has anyone else gotten this response lately?

They gave Lime & Violet a real hard time and those two talked about it openly on their podcast. I don't know if this rule is because of that incident or not. I do know that they did sell to L & V (Or...I think they said that Henry's Attic sold to them) for their new online only shop. But apparently the HA staff was exceptionally rude and delivery was via the slow boat to China method.

My experience with HA has always been positive. I always get my orders in 4-5 days and they are very nice on the phone. I have been a customer for awhile and regularly place large (at least to me) orders. I know that they raised their minimum recently but I order well above that. I am rambling I guess, but I just figured I would put in my 2 cents.
